The name ESCO also honors the teachings of my maternal grandfather, Alfredo Urriago, who introduced me to the art of Mediterranean-style whitewashing and environmentally friendly construction methods. His values of sustainability and craftsmanship remain at the core of ESCO Handyman Services today.

Our Values
In April 2023, I made the decision to create ESCO Handyman Services, with the goal of providing essential handyman solutions in our community. As I approach retirement, I remain dedicated to building a strong team of maintenance professionals, currently consisting of three skilled colleagues. After 16 years working at a prestigious high-luxury complex in Hudson County, I’ve decided it's time to transition into this new venture.
Before this, I owned a successful general contracting company for 22 years. My journey took an unexpected turn in 2003 when I was diagnosed with cancer, which forced me to close my company. Thankfully, I overcame that challenge and returned to the workforce in 2008, sharing my knowledge and experience with my new colleagues. ESCO is more than just a name; it’s a tribute to my family.
